Mac computers have been a constant companion in the 20 years I have been working within the music industry and have become the tool of choice for all  my computing needs. I need to work with audio, video, photographs, websites, correspondence, business management and so forth. More to the point, We sometimes need to work with all that software at the same time and the Mac OS X operating system makes this possible in an elegant fashion. For example, when we are involved with website design we expect to have access to all the above media.

Whether you are new to computers or switching from a PC learning how to use a Mac can be fun and productive. It’s intuitive interface makes it an ideal machine for joining in the technological revolution or working in an environment where you just want to get things done. All apple computers come with a suite of applications that allow you to get involved with all aspects of production on a computer.

Maintenance

All machines require regular servicing and maintenance and computers are no different. I teach all Mac users how carry out a monthly maintenance regime that will allow them to enjoy trouble free computing and avoid having to call me to carry out repairs.

When your computer does need to be repaired this can often be achieved by attending to software problems.

Hardware problems can be diagnosed. Hard Drives and Ram installed

Data Loss

Data loss is a tragedy and data recovery is expensive. We do not offer this service as it requires specialist equipment. I encourage all I come into contact with to be diligent about backing up their computers often and regularly. This means all your digital files and information should be duplicated and everything should be kept on, at least, two hard drives.

Please note: moving files to an external hard drive alone is not a back up. Your information should live on at least two disks.
